Ingredients
  

Main Protein

  • 4 pieces Chicken Breasts Trim any excess fat and ensure even sizes for cooking.

Liquids/Dairy

  • 1 cup Buttermilk Use straight from the fridge; avoid marinating too long.

Starch/Pasta

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Ensure thorough coating for crispy texture.

Seasoning/Spice Blend

  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Use fresh spices for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper

Optional Finishing Ingredients

  • 1 can Cooking Spray Ensures crispy finish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • Place chicken in a bowl and cover with buttermilk for 30 minutes.

Mix Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Breading

  • Remove chicken from buttermilk and let excess drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Place breaded chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  • Cook for 10 minutes, flip the chicken, spray again with cooking spray, and cook for another 10 minutes until golden-brown.

Serving

  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve on a platter and enjoy with sides such as coleslaw or mashed potatoes.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding herbs or customizing your coating with crushed cornflakes. Serve with BBQ or ranch sauces for dipping.
