Fries Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes Choose good quality for the best texture.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with other oils if desired.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic will enhance flavors.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can be adjusted to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust according to preference.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground pepper is recommended.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley Optional for garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into even-sized fries, about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to make them extra crispy.
  • After soaking, drain and pat the fries completely dry using a kitchen towel.
  • In a large bowl, toss the dried fries with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until well coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Once they are golden brown and crispy, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the fries while they are still hot.
  • Toss the fries gently, garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve hot!

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or paprika. Customize with other cheeses for a different twist.
