Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt (optional)

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese (2% or 4%)
  • 1 large egg (optional) For brushing

Toppings

  • everything seasoning, poppy seeds, sesame seeds Use as desired for topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Optionally add a pinch of salt.
  • Make a well in the center and add cottage cheese. Mix with a fork until it forms a chunky dough.
  • Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes.
  • Divide into 4 sections and roll each into 6-7 inch logs, connecting ends to form bagels.
  • Whisk the egg and brush over bagels, adding toppings if desired.

Cooking

  • Preheat air fryer to 300°F (about 150°C). Spray or line the basket and place bagels in a single layer.
  • Cook for 15-17 minutes until golden brown.

Serving

  • Let cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
  • Place bagels on a beautiful plate to show off their color and serve with cream cheese, avocado, or your favorite spreads.

Notes

For flavor enhancement, add garlic powder or herbs into the dough. You can customize by using low-fat or fat-free cottage cheese, or try different toppings.
