  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cooked thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • 2 pieces fresh jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for milder flavor)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, chopped bacon, jalapeños, and cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined.
  • Add garlic powder and onion powder to the mixture, stirring until everything is mixed evenly.
  • Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Roll each ball in panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  • Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, try adding some diced jalapeño seeds to the mixture. You can customize the cheese using pepper jack for more heat. These balls can be made ahead of time.
