  • 4 large tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 1/2 cup special sauce (or Thousand Island dressing)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • In a skillet, cook the seasoned ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • While the beef is cooking, prepare your tortillas by warming them slightly in a separate pan or microwave to make them more pliable.

Assembly

  • On each tortilla, layer the cooked beef, shredded lettuce, sliced pickles, and shredded cheese.
  • Drizzle the special sauce over the top and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Carefully wrap the tortilla around the filling, tucking in the sides as you go.

Cooking

  • For a crispy finish, place the wrapped tortillas seam-side down in the skillet and toast for an additional 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Slice in half and serve immediately.

Notes

For a flavor enhancement, try adding onions or jalapeƱos. Customize with different types of cheese, such as pepper jack for a kick. Serve with a side of potato chips for crunch and texture.
