  • 4 cups frozen shredded hash browns, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage or bacon Optional; use plant-based for vegetarian
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the hash browns, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Press the hash brown mixture into the bottom of a greased pizza baking pan or oven-safe skillet, forming a crust.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

Topping and Assembly

  • While the crust bakes, prepare the toppings by mixing together the sausage or bacon, bell pepper, cheese, and green onions.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Once the crust is ready, remove it from the oven and spread the filling evenly on top.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the filling and return the pizza to the oven.

Cooking

  • Bake for another 15-20 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is lightly golden.
  • Let cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve!
