Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). While the oven heats, gather your ingredients.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, stirring well until fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mix to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly mixed. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop dollops of the dough onto parchment paper-lined baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set and the tops look slightly cracked.

Notes
