Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon curry powder

For the sauce

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar Balances acidity of tomatoes.
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped to garnish Adds freshness.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine the chicken thighs, salt, Greek yogurt, garlic powder, sweet paprika, and curry powder. Mix well and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • In a large pan, heat vegetable oil and butter over medium heat. Sauté the diced onions until they are golden and soft.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in the marinated chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, browning all sides.
  • Pour in the tomato sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.
  • Finally, add the heavy cream and mix until the sauce is creamy and well combined. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.

Notes

Enhance flavor by adding a squeeze of lemon juice before serving. Customize the spice level by adding a pinch of chili powder or using a spicy tomato sauce. Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a simple cucumber salad for a refreshing touch.
