Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Filling

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil for chicken mixture
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce for chicken mixture
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp minced fresh ginger

For the Slaw

  • 1 bag coleslaw mix
  • 4 pieces green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil for slaw
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce for slaw
  • 1 tbsp honey

For Assembly

  • 16 pieces wonton wrappers
  • sweet chili sauce, for serving
  • chopped cilantro, for garnish
  • sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine diced chicken, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Mix well.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken mixture until it’s cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In another bowl, prepare the slaw by mixing the coleslaw mix, green onions, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and honey.

Cooking

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange wonton wrappers on a baking sheet and spray lightly with oil.
  • Bake the wonton wrappers for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Assembly

  • Assemble the tacos by filling each wonton with the chicken mixture, then topping with the slaw.
  • Serve with sweet chili sauce, garnishing with chopped cilantro and sesame seeds.

Notes

Add a squeeze of lime juice for a zesty kick. Use gluten-free soy sauce and wonton wrappers for a gluten-free option. Prepare chicken mixture and slaw a day in advance and store in the fridge.
