Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream the butter and powdered sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  • Sift together the flour and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and toffee bits gently until evenly distributed.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a prepared baking sheet, spacing them a few inches apart.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon. Customize by swapping chocolate chips for white chocolate or nuts. Drizzle melted chocolate on top for indulgence.
