  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, mix the mashed bananas with the melted butter.
  • Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  • Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  • Fold in the flour until just combined.
  • Gently mix in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, sliced, with a touch of butter on top. Pair with fresh fruit or yogurt.
