  • 1 cup cottage cheese Provides creaminess and protein.
  • 1 cup marinara sauce Use your favorite brand.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For a gooey topping.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Enhances flavor.

Seasoning and Garnish

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning For additional flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • In a baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce. Place the seared chicken on top of the sauce.
  • Spoon the cottage cheese over each chicken breast.
  • Top with the remaining marinara sauce and finish with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with roasted vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This dish can also be frozen in individual portions for up to 3 months.
