Ingredients
  

Meatball Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Can use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-friendly option.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Optional garnish for presentation.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into meatballs, about the size of a golf ball.

Cooking

  • Place the sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Add the meatballs on top of the onions.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the beef broth and onion soup mix.
  • Pour the broth mixture over the meatballs in the crockpot.
  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the meatballs are cooked through.
  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley for added color and flavor.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding garlic or Italian herbs. Customize by adding vegetables or using different meats.
