French Dip Grilled Cheese

Ingredients
  

Bread and Cheese

  • 4 slices Sourdough bread For the sandwich base
  • 4 oz Swiss cheese Melted for easy dipping

Meat and Broth

  • 8 oz Roast beef Sliced thin
  • 1 cup Beef broth For dipping the sandwich

Seasonings and Butter

  • 2 tbsp Butter For grilling the sandwich
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder For flavor
  • 1 tsp Onion powder For added depth
  • to taste Salt Seasoning
  • to taste Pepper Seasoning

Instructions
 

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt a tablespoon of butter.
  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  • Place one slice, butter-side down, in the skillet. Layer with Swiss cheese and roast beef.
  • Top with another slice of bread, butter-side up. Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Flip the sandwich carefully and cook the other side until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.
  • In a separate pot, heat the beef broth. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • Slice the sandwich and serve with the warm beef broth for dipping.

Notes

Enhance flavor with sautéed onions or mushrooms. Customize with different cheeses or toppings.
