  • 2 cups bread cubes (preferably stale)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk can substitute with almond or oat milk for dairy-free
  • 1/4 cup sugar can be substituted with chocolate hazelnut spread for sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Butter (for greasing the muffin tin)

Preparation and Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin with butter.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  • Add the bread cubes to the mixture and gently fold them until all the pieces are coated.
  • Spoon the mixture into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the tops are light golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin and serving warm.

Notes

Dust your muffins with powdered sugar for a beautiful finish. Serve with fresh fruit, maple syrup, or a dollop of whipped cream. Consider making a double batch for larger gatherings.
