Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and melted butter.
  • Gradually add the applesauce and water, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Shape the dough into small bites or balls.

Cooking

  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the churro bites in a single layer.
  • Air fry for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Remove and roll in a sugar-cinnamon mixture if desired.
