  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Sprinkle whole wheat breadcrumbs on top for a crunchy finish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

Add chopped spinach or bell peppers for extra veggies. Customize the cheeses based on your preference. Serve with a drizzle of olive oil for added richness.
