Preparation

  • Start by washing, peeling, and cutting the carrots into sticks.

Cooking

  • In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  • Once the butter is melted, add the prepared carrots and sauté for about 5 minutes until they start to soften but are still crisp.
  • In a small bowl, mix honey, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Pour the honey mixture over the carrots in the skillet and stir well to coat each carrot completely.
  • Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are fork-tender and have a shiny glaze.
  • Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley and optional parmesan on top before serving.

Notes

For a twist, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon or ginger. You can also mix in other veggies like green beans or snap peas.
