  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled sausage or bacon This is optional for a heartier dish.
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions Adds freshness to the casserole.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust to your preference.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter For greasing the baking dish.

Preparation

  • Grease a baking dish with butter.
  • Place the torn croissant pieces in the dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the croissants, ensuring they are well coated.
  • Sprinkle cheese, sausage or bacon, and green onions on top.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Cooking

  • In the morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Remove the cover and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden on top.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes
