  • 4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese For topping
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Seasonings & Thickeners

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish

  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley For garnishing

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the sour cream, grated Parmesan, cornstarch, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and cover them evenly with the sour cream mixture.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top.

Cooking

  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Enhance flavor by marinating the chicken in olive oil and herbs for a few hours. Customize by adding spinach or mushrooms. Serve with warm, crusty bread.
