Ingredients
  

Filling

  • 1 bag frozen chopped spinach (10 oz), thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 block cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • a pinch of red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Wrap

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed but still cold
  • 1 egg for brushing

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix cream cheese, Parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir in spinach until smooth.
  • Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and spread the spinach mixture over it, leaving one edge empty. Roll tightly like a jelly roll.
  • Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Baking

  • Slice the log into half-inch rounds and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Brush with beaten egg. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.

Notes

Flavor enhancement can be achieved by adding chopped sun-dried tomatoes or olives to the filling. Customize with your favorite herbs or spices.
